National Lottery Day - Celebrating The Difference You've Made

Friends of the Douglas Bader Memorial Garden will be holding a free film show to celebrate National Lottery Day on Saturday 5 November. Thanks to everyone who has played the Lottery or supported it, over £17 billion has been raised for good causes, enhancing the lives of millions of people across the UK.

The group, which is aiming to redevelop the garden in Duffus Park, Cupar, is giving away free tickets for the event. As well as viewing the Bader-film Reach for the Sky, the group will display Bader related items plus their plans for the new garden.

The event starts at 1.15pm and takes place at Elmwood College, Cupar. The venue is completely wheelchair accessible, and free refreshments will be available, plus special lottery freebies. A one-off raffle will also take place.

The idea behind the event is simply to spread the word regarding the garden project, which has attracted support from Fife Council, Elmwood College, Fife Constabulary and many other backers.

Tickets are available and can be obtained by emailing secretary Susan Blake at susieblake2002@tiscali.co.uk or via telephone 01334 652700.
