Police Boost Bader Garden Fund

The campaign to redevelop the Douglas Bader Community Garden in Cupar recently received a financial boost from the Fife Constabulary Charities Fund.

Representatives of the police charity, which supports local good causes, handed over a cheque for £300 to garden group members at the town's police station.

Superintendent Bill Lawrie, who presented the cheque to Douglas Bader Community Garden secretary Susan Blake, said that the charity was delighted to support the regeneration of the garden

Superintendent Lawrie said: "All the money we raise comes from the personal efforts of our officers, and we aim to use our funds to support local projects and organisations.

"We are delighted the Fife Constabulary Charities Fund has been able to assist the Bader group in their efforts to provide a great facility for the local community."

Community officer John Dale, who is based at Cupar police station, has been working closely with the Bader group for many months regarding security measures for the new garden design.
